The blind tasting glass is coloured black to enable blind tasting. Tasting allows you to taste a wine without reference to colour, and is made of a specialty crystal glass. 

These glasses are lead-free crystal glass. As with all Spiegelau glasses, they are dishwasher safe, but should be handled with care. The mineral content in the glass means they are fine to hold, but breakage resistant.
